Technology
Clear vision isn’t our only concern, the health of your eyes is just as important. During your BULK BILLED eye examination, our optometrist will perform the most up-to-date and comprehensive health screenings of your eyes. All health checks are included within the examination.
FREE DIGITAL RETINAL PHOTOGRAPHY
We choose to never charge you for this service as we value your health.
Digital Retinal Photography (DRP) is a digital camera that has the ability to take a picture of the back of your eye. With many eye conditions developing without warning or symptoms, the DRP is an opportunity to pick up any underlying issues before they cause any irreversible damage. The DRP can detect things like macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal detachments, artery occlusion, optic strokes, diabetes, high blood pressure and more.
By giving you access to this technology at no charge, we are able to consistently take a new image at each consultation, compare them to the previous images and determine any unusual changes.
IOP – Intraocular Pressure checks
During a standard consultation, our optometrist will always check your Intraocular Pressure. This test is used to detect the possibility of glaucoma with an easy, effortless and painless device. This is a proven accurate measuring principle.
